Whewsh! The first month transitioning into my full time art career has come to a close! I haven’t painted this much since college so it has certainly come with learning curves.
Retreat
Though tempted to hit the ground running my first week going full time, I decided to give it to God. I created a retreat for myself to sleep, pray, visit beautiful places, and prepare for the new chapter of my life.
Mountain Mural
Brooke wanted to make sure her son had a bedroom mural that captured his love for the mountains (and S Mountain in Salida, CO!) and inspired him to continue pursuing art.
We came up with this simple line art design and on the day of, I was inspired to break up the lines to look more sketchy.
I was able to finish right before Noah came home from school and as you can see, he was pleased!
Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Adam has been living with his brother and sister-in-law for the past year and wanted to commission a special painting for them.
The icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help has had a special place in their hearts so I used the original as a guideline for a more realistic take! I can’t wait for them to see this in time for their baby due in October.
The Holy Name project is chugging along! I finished these two small scaled paintings to show the parish what the finals will look like.
The next two months will be spent painting the final versions, just in time for Christmas!
I will be open for commissions and projects starting December and beyond. In the meantime, I’m available to do consultation calls. Click the button below to get on the calendar!
September flew by and I can definitely say a new chapter in my life has begun. This chapter is one of becoming my own boss, entering new relationships, and adopting some chickens (just kidding!).
God has truly opened doors to some of the most surprising and delightful opportunities for me, and I know He will continue to do so.
I pray that you listen closely for signs of the new seasons in your own life and open your hands to what He’d like to put in them.
