Love’s Unfailing Victory is an original painting by Mattie Karr that depicts Jesus on the cross looking down at Mary His Mother as she looks at the viewer. Her hand rests on her heart with roses scattered on her lap symbolizing the prayers she brings to Her Son.
This image originated in Eucharistic adoration with the seniors at Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri as Mattie led them through prayer prompts asking the Holy Spirit for an image.
In a Divine turn of events, Mattie accidentally left the painting in the rain during production which gives this painting the unique and powerful texture.
★★★★★
“This piece reminds me of how God brings success out of seeming failure, really amazing how you turned this painting around instead of abandoning it. I love the sense of texture with the rain on the painting as well!”
